Start a project from the contract

1. On the Dashboard, click New project from documents.
2. Drop in the whole packet: contract, your estimate or proposal, the contractor's lien waiver forms, insurance requirements, billing instructions. A single combined PDF is fine; it's split into its pieces.
3. Leave Read with AI selected and click Read documents. It usually takes 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
4. Review everything. Each value shows where it was found (file and page) and how confident the reading is. Fix anything that's wrong.
5. Check the schedule of values: it comes from your estimate. The total should match the contract.
6. Click Create project.

If the contractor already exists in your list, you can use the existing record instead of creating a duplicate. Nothing is saved until you click Create project.

AI reading counts toward your plan's monthly AI allowance. Basic reading (no AI) is free and finds what it can in searchable PDFs.
